First Day Off

Dec 20, 2006 20:38

So, today was my first full day off. On Tuesday, I went to campus posted grades and cleaned my office. I tossed all my old papers and exams from a year ago and I filed a whole nother set. Felt good to clean house.

Today, I read my Baby Bargains book, which is a life saver. It is quite an informative book. We then headed to Babies R Us with all my new information. Baby products are mind blowing: so many choices and so many colors. I feel like I am about to have a nervous breakdown over a stroller. Everything is quite expensive too. I am going to be checking www.craigslist.com quite regularly to see if I can catch some deals. I must say that since reading my book I feel much more empowered about entering a baby store. Last week, I went in for the first time and I was dazed and confused; today, I knew what I wanted.

MG is done grading too. Tomorrow will be his first day off. We are going to go to the store to buy peppers to raost on Friday. I also need to buy mushrooms (for stuffed mushrooms and risotta) and risotta. I also need to go to Target to buy a white maternity shirt and razors. On Friday, we are going to his parents' house to cook. Friday night, we will go to visit Erika, and on Saturday, we will return home (only to go back to Rochester on Sunday). Oh well. These are the days when I wish there was a train between Rochester and Buffalo.

I want to start reading some contemporary fiction. I have a ton of scholarship I want to read. However, I would like to read something somewhat new first. I have never read Ceremony, so I am thinking about picking it up. tree_woman would you recommend it?

Not a whole lot else new. Marb and Oran are chilling next to me.

I want it to be a white Christmas, but I don't think it will happen.
