So this is the all important travel post.
I have just returned from a week on the east coast with drew and his mom. now i know some of you must be saying, wtf? why were you staying with drew? why go visit him? and here's why. Because above all else and despite my feelings, drew and i have remained the best of friends and my feelings...well i can't express those here. maybe a private post later.
I flew in Thursday and drew drove me back to his mom's place from nyc. we chilled, took a nap, had dinner, fell asleep. friday drew took me to the driving range and tried to teach me to be a respectible golfer. while i suck now, i can see that if i was to live back there, i'd probably try to get good enough to go golfing with him. We went out to dinner that night. Um, lets see...Saturday we went up to Upstate new york to visit our friend Brian and went to Saratoga to see the Horse Racing Museum and Hall of fame (sooooo awesome!!!) and then we saw the flat track (it took 3 pictures to capture all of it, its so huge). We wandered around downtown saratoga, got some ice cream, chilled in congress park, then went to the harness track and bet on the ponies! hehehe. i lost.
Sunday i drove around with drew's mom and saw amazing horse farms and made a great contact incase i ever want to work there. Monday Drew and i drove to boston and saw his new apartment. Its definitely a guys place, but its decorated by some guy with very little sense of interior design, but omg what an amazing kitchen. i just wanted to cook in it. it also has a private roof garden and from there you can see a lot of the city. Its on the south end, near the intersection of Mass ave and Wash ave.
Tuesday, i played caddy for drew and laurel's golf game. not the most fun job in the world, but now i can add it to my list of things i've done. Wednesday ( my last day :( ) drew and i went to new york city, wandered around, walked past central park, had lunch, and then i bought my sister a knock off purse from a street vendor that i had to haggle over. so new york. i hope she appreciates all my hard work! Then we spent 2.5 hours in new york traffic trying to get to the airport. I missed my flight and the last flight out to the west coast for that night, so i had to stay in a sketch ass hotel by myself and i went to the airport thursday morning, got on my plane, and now i'm back! woot
i love the east coast and i'd rather not leave it, but i have work. but lets just say, i'll be a frequent visitor.
