(no subject)
I have this written on my corkboard and posted where I can see it. Thought it was appropriate to post today:
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, screaming, "Whoo-hoo, what a ride!"

While I do things to preserve my body, I like the sentiment. I prefer my 'used up' to mean I went, saw, and did everything I could possible go, see, and do. ;)
And now, a meme! The first lines of my first posts from the last year... (Only sometimes I used two. Or more. Shoot me.)

*waves* Dark made it on her flight, her uncle has already left to pick her up at the airport on the other side, I'm alive, con was fun, and you will probably continue to not see me until the end of the week.

Okay, so the topic of obeying your husband came up, and I could identify why I went 'erk' at some of it, and was able to explain that, but I had to go away and think about the rest of it.

Okay, so one of the things I didn't mention that happened while I was in Utah (because I wasn't worried, but knew that if I posted and other people were worried, I would get worried, too), was that I found a hart knot of a lump, not visible to the naked eye, just below Lily's sternum.

Had my first outdoor dog-class today.

I just saw like, three friends posts that started with 'not dead yet!' Which, given I went to my grandfather's funeral today, is highly ironic.

What I would LIKE to do right now is go work on Trek fic. What I AM going to do right now is go to bed, and promise myself that if I get all my stuff done tomorrow I can work on Trek fic then.
