Right, so I met a girl who is openly sexist towards men. I've decided I hate her.
But more than that, it's gotten me thinking about sexism and special treatment. I was at a party and there were a whole bunch of guys saying how they'd never hit a girl. I say fuck that. If a girl came up to me and kicked me, I'd damn sure kick her right back. I refuse to live my life letting anyone get away with things because of what they are. I've never received a solid piece of evidence that me being white or male has given me any benefit in the eyes of others, and I firmly believe with all people should be treated equally. Unless a person admits to being inferior to me, I'll show them no better or worse treatment than I would anyone else. Same thing goes for handicapped people. If a person in a wheelchair tries to start shit with me, I'll fight back. I think what makes this rule work for me is that I refuse to escalate things. I will not strike any person who hasn't struck me first. I'll not insult someone unless they've insulted me (or if it's really funny).
Sorry for my rant. Just annoyed at that one girl.
