Another year has gone by.
This year was a hard one. I put so much effort into it. I tried more things, took more chances, and gave up much more than I ever have before. Some really wonderful things happened. Some of them ended too soon.
Some people entered my life who intrigue me. With some, the distance between us has grown. This isn't bad, for many divergent paths eventually cross in the course of life. As long as we do not lose each other in heart and mind, there is nothing to fear. For others, our bond has broken. Yet there are still those with whom I feel closer than ever to. This is a cause for celebration, for I am truly lucky to have met them.
Some work has ended and some effort misplaced. My life yet improves, though not always in the areas I seek. But I will never stop trying to be better than I was yesterday.
I am resolute:
I will be smarter.
I will be stronger.
I will improve my life.
I will improve my body.
I will be more forthcoming.
I will take more risks.
I will put in more effort.
I hope this will make me into the person I want to be. We'll see next year.
