What a crazy couple of weeks. I found an apartment...it's really nice, it's on the west side and best of all it's affordable and on a bus line. The downside is they don't allow pets. I have two dogs. Ever since my brother moved out, it's been really hard taking care of them. I am on the go so much that I can't really keep them in the cage that

Yay for new, more affordable apartment though!
I agree about the dating thing. It's silly to commit to a relationship after only one date--especially if said person isn't going to be around for another few months. Play the field a bit longer--at least until this guy gets back and then take it from there.

Sorry to hear about your mom. I'll send healing thoughts her way.
I have another female friend trying to date again and is having similar issues. A lot of it has to do with location problems, how long the person will be in town, where they eventually want to live, etc. Don't know what to tell ya on that one other than maybe not do anything with that particular relationship until he gets back.
Thanx for the kind words for those of us having it rough right now. That was very sweet.
