dropping the dead weight

May 04, 2007 15:09

I've been doing the South Beach Diet for a little over a month - down about 20 pounds.  A little over 30 pounds since January.  Feels good . . . might be slipping into some old jeans soon.  The only let down is that I am hitting a weight loss plateau and I am becoming impatient.  Ultimately, I want to lose another 10 pounds by Bear Pride in Chicago, and another 20 by the end of the year.  Go salads.  I wish salads tasted as good as cheese fries and chocolate cake.  I should take pictures of the process so I can document what I look like at various weights.

Some people say you shouldn't weigh yourself everyday, but I disagree.  It keeps me consciously thinking about what I am putting in my mouth.  Maybe if I keep this up my new eating pattern will become a habit . . . I doubt it.  I just like to overeat way too much.
