december..almost done...
*sigh*
Every time a new member doesn't work out on the forensics team, a little part of me dies. Sad, I know. I tell everyone that I'm used to it. But it hurts. I have so much hope for newbies, but 90% of the time it doesn't work out. Kinda beats you down a bit...
At least the end of the semester is almost here. The Stout tournament went nice. Kate took 2nd in MI, I took 2nd in Poetry, and we got snowed in so we made a snowman in the hotel room bathtub. Good times. Got to spend time with Joe too. Overall, it was a sweet tourny to end the semester on. My focus now shifts to next semester and getting my DI qualified, and then writing and getting an Inform and new Duo going. Perhaps another PA event.
I want to get started on research as soon as I finish my finals stuff... which will be this Tuesday. Ugh, I got my Phase 3 Portfolio all done and I finished my take home final for Literacy Strategies today. All I need to do is finish my 20 page final paper for Controversies in Criticism... I've got 10 pages right now, and I'm struggling to get more. It's due Tuesday night. I believe Ben is in trouble.
But yeah, Mike might find it interesting that I want to do my Inform on that fire fighting gel. He sent me an article a couple months ago and I found it really interesting. I'll have to ask some other forensicators if that is out on the circuit yet. I've heard several speeches with the same topics and thats just annoying.
I've also thought about trying to student teach in EC. That would be nice to just be around Julie. Lots to think about on that front.
