Remembering 2004...an awesome year!!

Okay Mark stole this from someone now I'm stealing it from him....you should try this!!  Its a little hard to remember everything but fun nonetheless.

1. What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before?

~Graduated high school, started college

~Drove about 10 hours from Jacksonville, FL to my home in Virginia

~Got in a car accident

~Went to a family member's wedding

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?

~I made a commitment to do devotions everyday this year in 2005, I've been too inconsistent in the past but I'm doing well so far this year

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?

~Oh my gosh this was the year of births!!  3 of my friends gave birth (they are not much older than me...scary!!)  A couple ladies I worked with gave birth....so many babys showers, so little time.

4. Did anyone close to you die?

~My grandfather on my dad's side in the summer

5. What places did you visit?

Lotsa places in Florida:

~Universal Studios & Islands of Adventure in Orlando

~Sebring for my uncle's wedding

~Jacksonville for my car

6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004?

~A better devotional life

~Be a better student, study more

~A better job and better money managing skills

7. What date from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory?

~I'm gonna do two...Nov. 12 & 13...my 18th birthday and party on the 12th....friends 20th birthday & party on the 13th...great parties, great friends, great times

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?

~Graduating high school

9. What was your biggest failure?

~Ughh too many to count or rank

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?

~Had a few colds, strep throat, whiplash from car wreck...nothin serious

11. What was the best thing you bought?

~Hard to say….so many purchases!!

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?

~My brother Ricky gave an amazing performance in his school play

~My 47-year-old uncle finally got married for the 1st time....such a bachelor!!

~My College English teacher in my senior year of high school, Mrs. Boswell-Beer.  Her classroom was her stage, and all the students were her audience.  She's passionate about life, her students, her job and is the best and most influential teacher I had in high school because she brought out the best in all her students.  She retired in 2004 and we were her last class.   She is an amazing person and I will always remember her!!

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?

(No one close to me, but these famous people did):

~Michael Moore with his stupid Fahrenheit 9-11 movie

~Justin Timberlake & Janet Jackson at the SuperBowl

14. Where did most of your money go?

~Clothes

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?

~When Bush won the presidential election!!!

~Going to my uncle’s wedding and meeting my new family member

~A great blessing…my little car!

16. What song will always remind you of 2004?

~Josh Groban "You Raise Me Up" (my graduating classes song of choice)

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:

~Happier/Sadder-happier

~Thinner/Fatter-basically the same

~Richer/Poorer-poorer

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?

~Praying, studying, reading

19. What do you wish you’d done less of?

~Watching TV, spending money, sleeping and basically doing nothing

20. How did you spend Christmas?

~Stayed at home like always but my grandparents and cousin from Georgia came from Dec. 29-Jan. 1 so that was great!

21. Who did you spend the most time on the phone with?

~Danielle & Stacy

22. Did you fall in love in 2004?

~It’s possible…

23. How many one-night stands?

~Too many to count…no I’m totally joking!!  None in 2004 or ever for that matter.

24. What was your favorite TV program?

~Law & Order

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?

~Uhhh….no!

26.    What was the best book you read?

~The Rainmaker by John Grisham

27.    What was your greatest musical discovery?

~I learned to love country music in 2004!!

28.    What did you want and get?

~A car, cell phone, clothes, CD’s

29.    What did you want and not get?

~A boyfriend

30.    What did you do on your birthday?

~I hung out at my house with my best friends and had an amazing time!!!

31.    How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2004?

~Spring/Summer: Short sleeve shirts, skirts, capris, flip-flops/any sandal really

~Fall/Winter: Sweaters, pants, skirts, close-toed shoes…anything that obeys the Liberty Way!

32.    What kept you sane?

~Jesus, church, friends, summer vacation

33.    Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?

~N/A

34.    What political issue stirred you the most?

~Gay marriages all over the country

~Election/John Kerry and all his bogus war stories and Bush-bashing

~The news media and their inordinate leftism

35.    Who did you miss?

~When I graduated, I missed the people in my class because we all went in so many directions.  I’ve know some of them since elementary school, some since middle, and some I met in high school and each of them have impacted me in different ways.  It was weird not to see them everyday when school started again in the fall.  I missed my 12th grade English teacher Mrs. B-B because she was so awesome.

36.    Who was the best new person you met?

~Cory Patterson & Zac Bonheim, 2 hilarious guys in my high school Bible study

37.    Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2004:

~You can achieve anything when you have the right people, the right attitude, and the belief that with Christ, nothing is impossible!

~You can never really stand until you fall (which I literally did in 2004…down a flight of stairs!! And metaphorically as well).

~Good Christian friends that love the Lord and want to serve him are truly a gift from God.

~To be content in whatever circumstances I find myself in.
