Cleveland was great. I don't think I've ever done so many different things in three days. Kudos to Mrs. McCall for organizing it. I don't think I've ever used the word kudos in a sentence. The rest of the weekend was basically working at AMC and coming across both amusing and irrational customers. I'm glad the amusing customers outnumber the latter.
Monday Jobin and I were devastated to find that "Sliders" the sci-fi show we watched each weekday was no longer showing at its regularly scheduled time. It's been replaced with "The Outer Limits." We watched the Daily Show instead. Later that day the Ace Gang went to see Fahrenheit 9/11. It was a very well made, though one-sided documentary. Later I used my Borders gift certificate to get Lahiri's new book, The Namesake. My next stop was Barnes and Noble. I had ordered books on going to law school and law careers and they were in. Of course I had no intention of actually buying these books, but instead I sat down w/ a notebook and pen and read through the parts which caught my interest. I figure that this is probably better as the Law selection of the store could use some diversification. But I did end up buying three classics for the price of two including: The Picture of Dorian Gray, Persuasion, and Jane Eyre.
Today I was supposed to work from 10am-6pm, but soon after I got there I threw up twice. I haven't done that since before a volleyball game in 8th grade. I didn't feel much better after so I went home. My boss was pretty understanding, but I felt guilty missing hours of pay. Nausea set in again when I got home so it was probably for the best. Now I feel much better. I'll be going to a candle light party with Margie, Mrs. McCall, and Christina tonight. The screening for Spiderman 2 is later and Jobin, Jerin, and myself will be in attendance, :). Now I'm off to Meijer's to pick up pictures of Cleveland and other summer events.
Special shout out to Nickie: I tried to italicize the books I mentioned but I ended italicizing the rest of the page. Any advice?
