So exhausted...and I don't even know whether it's 12 or 1 in the morning because of daylight savings time. Just got back from the cast/crew party at Nickie's. It was good being with everyone...though some chose to get more hormonal than I cared for. But it's all over...my fifth and final LHS theater production. It's been a crazy week. Sometimes staying at school till 10:30p.m. and always desperately trying to finish homework inbetween. It's been worth the sleep deprivation. There's just an amazing amount of love that goes into these shows that makes it all worthwhile. So many memories and hugs. Here's just a few of the highlights:
-Nickie and Christina on curtain
-Working the lights with Margie
-Spending a good ten minutes successfully convincing Brad that his tupperware was my own.
-Mr. Mellor on the trumpet.
-Playing the platinum hit: "Heart and Soul" with Nickie on the piano.
-Hearing Ms. Purrenhage say with tears in her eyes that we were the best group of seniors she's worked with in her 8 years of directing.
-Getting lost with Margie and Sara
-Introducing "Build Me Up Buttercup"
-Playing Fooze Ball with Teresa and Brian
-Getting flowers from Margie's grandparents and mother
-Recalling how Margie kicked a scarred-for-life 6-year-old while coming down from the loft.
-Recalling how Margie fell down the bleachers.
-Conversation with PJ:
PJ (Wearing Native American Costume): I'm Indian
Jaimie: Um, excuse me. You're Native American. I'm Indian. Get it straight.
PJ: Well I was here first.
It's been so amazing being a part of the LHS Drama and as sad as it is to leave it behind, it's wonderful to have such an accomplished feeling as a result of these past few years. I'm so glad I stuck with it, even during the tough times.
Other news:
Got an e-mail from the Honors College at U of M earlier this week with news that I'll be hearing from them soon. Good news I hope!
Prom approaching...dress and date set so I'm at ease and looking forward to what's going to be a great time.
