It was tough to get back my bike after a couple days off. I felt I could have stayed much longer and done more. But, the rest was good for my legs and biking was easy today.
I took 16A out of Edmonton. Usually A roads are old roads superceded by a fancy new highways. However, in this case I think the province decided they needed more capacity into the suburbs (or as kjrose calls them: trailer parks). The road was comparable to the 403 in Toronto; driving my bike on it was draining.
I started late and stopped early, but I hope to get an early start before the traffic on the road picks up.
