Took this from Phoebe's LiveJournal, it works the same way for me.

First of all, before I go off on this, I just want to say I'm not mad at anyone and I understand why what was said was said. But it did sting a little that you would think that of me, so I'm going to say this once and for all, because it really needs to be said.

So here goes.

I'm not going to blow anyone off for my boyfriend. I'm not. You guys are my friends and I'm not going to drop you just because I have a boyfriend.

But I'm also not going to blow off my boyfriend. He's my friend too and he's important to me too. And so if I'm on the phone with him when you call, I expect you to not be hurt when I tell you I'm on the phone with him and I'll call you later. Unless you're really upset about something or need to talk to me about something, in which case, I'll tell him I'll call him later and talk to you.

If he were to call me while I'm on the phone with one of you, I would tell him I was on the phone and I'd call him later. And he'd understand. And I expect the same of my friends.

So don't think I'm blowing you off for my boyfriend, because I'm not. My friends are not the only demand on my time. And neither is my boyfriend. And if anyone has a problem with that, I'd appreciate it if you'd bring it up to me, so we can work it out.

JSBata786: what are you thinking love

xxKismetxox: don't take this the wrong way love, but nope
xxKismetxox: i love you to pieces
xxKismetxox: and i'm not going to blow you off for my friends
xxKismetxox: but neither am i going to blow my friends off for my boyfriend
JSBata786: good answer
