Hayden, overheard just now, digging in his toy bins: "Oh, for cod's sake..."

Harrison, concurrently, while running around like a crazy person: "MEOW, MEOW, MEOW!! MEOW!"

Harrison, while viewing the rhino at the zoo yesterday: "WOW NOW!"

Harrison, after every correction (such as, "We don't climb on the table."): "Oh."

Hayden, after I told him off for something yesterday: "Well, that's fair enough."

Harrison, every time he sees text: "A, O, A, O, A, O."

Harrison, after I wondered aloud what to make for dinner: "Waffle. Butter butter." (?! I don't put anything on their waffles!)

Earlier today, they were playing together and Hayden carefully wrapped the stuffed dog in some blankets and "put him down for his nap." Harrison watched intently as Hayden tucked him in, patted his back, and nestled a little toy into the blanket. He said it was a toy for the dog to play with when he woke up. Harrison picked up the toy and it dropped. Hayden put it back and told Harrison, keeping a sweet, motherly whisper the entire time, "Ohhhh, noooo, that's loud. We have to be verrry quiet when Taggy Dog is sleeping. You can't make a loud noise, or he will wake up. .....and eat you."
