Noodle Box - Subiaco

I visited Noodle Box in Subi tonight for the first time in months and am reminded  of exactly why it is tops. The food is cheap (approx $8-$9 per meal), seems reasonable quality and is very very fast. The noodles, vegies, meat (if you want it) and sauces are thrown together in the wok and cooked in about 2 mins flat. I did miss this place on my recent travels and am amazed that these fast food asian take-away places are not common in europe (my sister advises she has seen them in Amsterdam but we didn't find any at all in London, Paris and Berlin despite concerted effort). My sister is familiar with my cravings for Noodle Box! I am sure they must use MSG as a flavouring (probably best to steer clear if you are allergic), because I am well and truly addicted. Real vegetarians should be aware that most of the things marked "vegetarian" on the menu contain oyster sauce, but it is possible to ask for the dish to be made without. The meals I have had from Noodle Box have been consistently good over time (I have been going for years), as contrasted with the Wok In a Box chain which can vary a lot more from shop to shop and time to time. Somehow, the Wok In a Box in Vic Park manages to taste foul every time I have tried it (three times now), but the same chain in Bicton/Applecross (Canning Hwy) is consistently good, but I would still rate Noodle Box Subi higher. Noodle Box Forrestfield is also ok but not as good as subi, and their Mee Goreng doesn't taste at all like Mee Goreng (which is not to say it is bad, just not what is expected). Anyway, I would recommend Noodle Box Subiaco for a quick easy meal that certainly fills you up for less than $10.
