I just Gokked myself!

After watching an episode of How to Look Good Naked last night, so many parts of it hit home that I finally decided to do something about certain elements of how I look. Now, everyone knows that I've joined a gym and am making an effort to lose weight. And, everyone knows that I got a haircut that better suited me. The only thing left was the way I dressed and I hadn't truly tackled this for quite some time.
I'd been buying almost all my clothes on eBay because shopping is such a nightmare for me, but I decided that enough was enough and put myself on the train to Birmingham. I went to Primark (because after all, I'm not that well off!) and told myself that aside from a plain black t-shirt, which I needed, nothing else was allowed to be a dark colour. I stuck to it, and am now the proud owner of a bright blue t-shirt, a bright red t-shirt (both with patterns), a white t-shirt, two stripy t-shirts and a bright salmony halter. I know, I know, almost all of the people on my LJ list are men and you don't care about what I bought. But it is relevant, because it is going some way to brightening me up and making me look better and you should all care about my confidence :P
The next problem was my jeans. I hadn't bought jeans in a shop since last summer, and those have fallen apart and are in the process of renewal. The ones I bought from eBay were ill-fitting, too pale and looked generally bad on me. The NEW ones I have are from Evans, which is where I should have been shopping all along. One of my BIGGEST problems has been kidding myself about my size, and now I'm trying to accept and change that instead of hiding it and pretending I'm smaller, I'm buying clothes that fit me better and look better on me.
I didn't try any of the t-shirts on until I got home because Primark is a hell-hole and one should get in and out as quickly as possible. So, when I got home, I tried all the t-shirts on with my new jeans. Seriously, I haven't liked how I've looked in the mirror this much in a very long time, and thus, I am very happy today!!
Congrats if you've read this far :P

As an aside, when I was in Evans (a shop that doesn't stock ANYTHING below a 14 and very few items at that) I saw two Chinese girls built almost exactly like Hoi. One wonders what they were doing in there...
