Time is running ahead of me

Have you ever had one of those weeks where you feel as if you've started on the back foot, and no matter how hard you try and catch up, it just keeps turning into corners and shadows?

Instead of doing fannish things this week, I had to go and do an errand of mercy for a friend - only to find that this mission of mercy brought drama and I didn't get home until Tuesday morning at 03:00 hours. Tried to get up on Wednesday to do my fannish commitment (csn) only for other life bubbles to happen. Bought a ticket, went to London in the morning, did my business, spent money that I didn't have and won't be seeing any time soon, scurried back home only to realise that my computer has decided to give me the side eye of doom and eat my 5 careers of Eli Bradley story (nom nom nom),so this is me girding my loins ready to do battle again. Am on partner's laptop and side eyeing everything. But these are first world problems, so perspective in all things.

But, Egypt is free! Mubarack stepped down! I'm listening to BBC world right now, and am grinning at the whoops of joy and relief from over there. I'm jumping and whooping and cheering as if it were me. The young people went out, and stood and held hands, and decided that they weren't going to move, but the world should, and it did.

Amazing.

Right, back on with fannish things. Hopefully I can get this story done this weekend, and please Providence some sunshine too? I want to go fell walking, but this weather makes it uncomfortable.

state of play, fannish news
