(no subject)
i'm having a seriously blonde week!
monday night was great....lots of fun...too much chinese take away and red wine but cool. tuesday morning the little men were hammering inside my head....what a lightweight....dave and i did manage to polish off 3 bottles of wine between us though!
tuesday morning i toddled off to my hospital appointment to find that my surgeon who was absolutely superb has retired. i was gutted! it was 4 years on monday since the op....won't make the mistake of joking that it was the anniversary of the op when i used to be a man.....stupid! as if i look like i used to be a bloke...don't think so....i bloody well hope not or i have more problems than i realised!
anyway the good news is that after over 2 hours of waiting and x rays and stuff...i was told that if all is ok next year i will be discharged! yipee! 5 years is apparently the usual follow up for carcinomas.
but i forgot the ant spray i bought on monday night and left it on dave's kitchen table...and forgot that as well as the info mum wanted....so that wasn't so crucial....but then i discover that i have also left my coat too! dave very kindly said it wasn't that i was brainless just blonde! thanks matey!
but i then realise that i have run out of milk and there are no handy ethnic minority corner shops here let alone 24 hour supermarkets!
dad has been really poorly this week. he's not been good for months but yesterday was awful. i was on the verge of having to cancel leeds festival this weekend. it may yet happen cos nothing would surprise me and dad is more important anyway!
