Well good morning from Austria, everyone! Vienna's starting to feel less big and scary, so I suppose that means I'm settling in. Still no luck with my computer, but we know what's wrong now. Either my username or password has been put into the server incorrectly, causing everyone else to be able to log in on my computer except me. So hopefully Konni will fix that soon.
This morning I think I'll make a couple of introductions before I go to class of people that I'll probably talk about fairly often. So here goes:
Konrad (Konni), Barbara and Babsi are the administrative arm of Haus Salzburg, which is the home of yours truly this semester. I suppose you could consider them the RDs, but with much less availability. Office hours are 9-10 Monday through Friday (oh yeah, who has class every single one of those hours?) and 8-3:30 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday. Unless you can see the office from your window, at which time you go sprinting through the courtyard to catch them up there. :p
Einstein, Newton and Pascal are the Haus Salzburg cats. Yes, you heard that correctly. Haus Salzburg has three cats that can roam the office/TV rooms/courtyard freely, though not the actual dorm building. Hopefully I don't sneeze too terribly much.
Beth, B.A. and Jess are friends I'm making, all girls. Beth and B.A. were almost my roommates and Jess is a fellow flute player. A lot of fun, Jess is. We enjoyed watching the Austrian dancers together our second evening in Murau. Hot German guys in lederhosen. Jess enjoyed ogling them and I enjoyed laughing at Jess. Beth and B.A. are quieter and I eat lunch with them pretty much every day, which is always fun.
Andrea Wirty is my German teacher. She's young and fun and cool, but grammar-obssessed and red pen happy. That makes things fun when I get an essay back, to be certain.
Klaudia is my yet-to-move-in roommate. That's Wednesday, so more on her later.
Alright, it's class time, so I'll be going now. Tschüß everybody!
