Starting the Change

Hey there people.

It's finally the beginning of school for a lot of people, except me. I'm not in school and it doesn't feel too weird. In fact it seems already normal to me. I'm probably more prepared for the post-college life than anticipated.

Anyways I just thought to post up here the fact that I'm finally with a job. I have a job with income. I'm part of an organization called ACORN. http://www.acorn.org

Right now I'm working on a research team for predatory lending and subprime mortgages. It's part of an effort to put the organization on the map with the primary issue being the big drop in the market on housing. Everyone is probably already hearing about it in the news. The mortgage market is in trouble with the subprime problems. Millions of homes are being foreclosed now or under attempt to be foreclosed. Basically from what I've been getting, the organization is focusing the effort on tracking and stopping certain companies from allowing subprime mortgage lending to people whom they well know cannot make the monthly payments on time. If you want more information, go to the website and look up the chief's recent blogs.

My life is still somewhat the same: music, books, work. I already celebrated my birthday and my mom's fiance was nice enough to take me to outback steakhouse. I really miss my friends around me though.... that's the only thing I miss at RIT. The friends, the fraternity, my CJ crew....overall it's just the people I miss. I'm at least meeting Dave's family more now... (Dave is my mother's fiance). They're really nice people and I'll be an uncle to 5 little kids who are cute critters.

Once I get into the full swing of things with the job and a daily life, I'll let y'all in on some more information (not to say I'm hiding anything.....I have no info of value in my life to hide.)
