**I'm not sure how much audience has this journal captured since this is a public journal and everyone can access it.. If you don't like reading about people being critised or yourself (just in case there are unexpected audience) being critised, don't read it at all. I hold no responsibility and apologies to anyone I write about since this is meant to be my journal for open-minded people.**
It's been three days since I've made any entries.. *yawn* I'm uber tired now.. Haven't been getting enough sleep in the last few days mainly bcause of the many assignment we've had to do (all ofthem due on Thursday) Trying to wake up is a very very laborious task - and sometimes you just can't wake up - which is what happened to me this Wednesdy morning (Day 18). This Wednesday we had a whole day of biodiversity.. The lecture was supposed to start at 1000.. so I set my alarm clock at 0715 the night before.. However I thought 0715 was too early when I got woke up by it, so I set the alarm to 0830 instead. I fell asleep again after that and the sleeping went very well - way too well that by the time I woke up again it was 1035 - already 35 minutes laterfor the lecture. So I woke up and saw eugene in the bathroom and he made a big deal out of it (as usual). We went to Ibu Fanny's place to finish off our batik after the last biodiversity lecture. I didn't get to finish it because I was colouring it too slowly and now I have an unfinished batik with all the wax on it.. But that's okay, I'm going to colour it later and iron the wax off.. Not fussy at all. Wednesday night was pretty crazy for most people because everyone was trying to finish off the marketing assignments.. We have lots of lazy people in our group =/ in fact, all of us are pretty lazy so only those of us who managed to b.s. the whole thing out the night before didn't have to do much on Wednesday night. I happe.ned to be one of the few who b.s.ed everything the night before so there was no stress U_____U well, not much anyway.
Speaking of which, my marketing group is pretty sh*tty.. I seriously don't know why the gruops were done in alphabetical order of first names.. but I guess that's just as random as doing a random draw.. I still hate my group though, nobody does anything. Fristly, Jenny speaks as though she knows everything and that she knows what's going on.. But by the time it came to the actual thing, she was sick and she did very little - not even the graphics she promised. Since then I've been asking her about the presentation on next Tuesday and she's turned down all my suggestions, yet she has no idea on what we are going to do and is starting to avoid me when I ask her about the presentation.. The rest of the group just don't care or don't remember that there is a presentation on Tuesday at all.. It appears to me that we're screwed, and I'm screwed because they're pretty pathetic when it comes to organising to do a bit of work, sadly. "Just tell me what to do and I'll do it" - I might as well do everything myself then.
Thursday, Day 19 - We've finally handed in all the assignments that are due this week and that felt kind of good for a while.. Although, we have a marketing quiz next Monday.. 15 MCQ and 1 long question in which we'll have to analyse an ad.. That's completely fine, but stress level isn't completey down, not yet. We practised more in the Bahasa Indonesia class and I had to rush off because "Uncle the Third" (lol.. he SMS'ed me with that title.. he's the third eldest out of my grandma's six children) was waiting for me right outside my lecture building.. It was a pretty good night, I got to auntie's home at about 1700, her family is uber huge.. apparently there are like 20 something people living in the same house.. The house was uber huge too, it's as big as, if not bigger than, my home back in Australia. After waiting for a while we walked to this cosy place full of food store (dai pai dong, does it ring a bell to anyone?).. my auntie and uncle argued on what it shold be called because my auntie called it a food court whereas my uncle called it a dai pai dong.. well, it was indeed a dai pai dong.. It's uber cosy though. I tried lots and lots of new food and they're all very nice (and spicy).. Auntie ordered this thingy for me because her dad said it's good.. Well, when it arrived on my table I was like.. "oooh cr*p..." because it looked like it had coconut milk in it - and indeed it had.. To my surprise, though, it tasted very nice along with the spicy food XD So I managed to finish the whole bowl without feeling uneasy *proud*.. We walked back to auntie's place with our bellies full and played one game involving a soccer ball and two games involving a rugby ball.. It was a loooot of fun too ^^
eventually we went swimming at this private club place because my auntie's friend was a member there or something.. It was uber cool ^^ I haven't swum for aaaages and already forgot how to do front crawl properly.. (many people think that it's called freestyle.. but it's not, freestyle simply means you can choose any style - and front crawl is the fast known swimming style - of course it varies from person to person). We also played water rugby lol.. go figure that :p it was uber fun XD After swimming we headed to an HDB dai pai dong area to replenish the dehydrated us and then I took a cab home.. uncle forced me to take another 50 bucks =/ I'll get dad to pay him back when he comes here next week.. auntie and uncle are uber uber nice ^^ umm.. silly me forgot to bring my camera *frown* I probably won't get to take a picture with uncle because he's leaving this Sunday.. or Monday.. I can't quite remember =x he's leaving soon one way or the other.. Hmm.. I'll go back and visit auntie again some time next week ^^
lol, guess what I did on my way to PGP.. the taxi ride was pretty long, it cost S$14.70 and I talked to to the driver in Mandarin from beginning to end.. lol.. Iunno, I was in a weird mood and thought I might practise my Mandarin by talking to a stranger.. He told me a lot about Singapore's political history and eventually moved on to Chinese pride.. Umm.. That was a rather appealing topic because many people these days, especially Chiense in foreign countries, thinks that China is cheap and cr*p and they have no pride whatsoever for their origin.. I advocate multiculturalism - but one should not forget her own origin, otherwise she is just a pathetic ignorant jerk. Hmm.. my current plan is to go to Bei Jing Da Xue (Beijing University).. Just a side note, I hope they'll renovate their website layout before I get to study there, if at all.. because the current layout is pretty dodgy.. Actually, it doesn't have to be Bei Jing Da Xue, I just want to go to the top university in China and do my PhD.. that is if that's possible.
lol.. I was very silly becaus eI thought I lost my transponder when I got back to PGP :p I stood there for a long while until An, Leanne, Isabella came by - that's when I found my keys ^^
Today, Day 20 - *phew* I ran around a lot today.. and I can't quite remember why anymore but the last time I had to seriously run was because there was a misunderstanding between Jo and I.. I thought she just wanted photos in general but she actually wanted the cooking pictures so that she can prepare the powerpoint for tonight's performance.. hehehe.. that was a loooot of running XD which is kind of good because I've had good food for two nights - tonight and last night. Guys need to shed some pounds too XD
The following is roughly the program for tonight: (names are in alphabetical order)
- Emm C. the Great MC started off the show
- Eric talked about the difference between Indonesian and Australian culture.. he basically put Australian culture down and eleveated Indonesian culture
- The very entertaininly singing of two songs by An, Eugene, Jacky, Kat, Leanne, Oanh and Phoebe
- The Anklung band which consist of Me, Hu Xian, Isabella, Jo, Kiera, Kim, Siney played two lovely tunes, with Kim and Jo mixed up their anklungs for the very first line
- Batik talk by Kat, Batik people include: Emm C., Me, Hu Xian, Kat, Oanh, Siney
- Indonesian Cooking talk by Jo and Kim, Cooking people include: everyone else who's not in Batik :p
- And.. that was it! Oh, we had to find out who was the person we interviewed too ^^ It was fun.. but someone spoilt it for me.. I can't remmeber who it was U____U
Then.. hmm.. tonight was cr*ppie.. you get this sort of feeling when everyone's going out and you don't feel like you can "fit in".. Hmm.. Hmmmmmm.. Yeah, you probably wouldn't understand. I'm all mixed up and crazy O____o.. no not really.. mum and sis hasn't been calling much '-__- I got very mad about 2 hours ago because of that and they were blaming me not picking up the phone.. Hmm.. They say they miss me, well, I hope they do O____o.. The depression comes also from the fact that annie hasn't messaged me back as she has promised.. I guess the holiday is too much fun =/ umm.. I told her not to message me back, but she broke a promise.. *frown*
O____o.. Jenny just called me to ask for some Salsa Club address... like at 0100 in the morning assuming that I'm still awake lol.. It's her lucky day that I am :p I hope they'll get there successfully and that it's opened as I'm told by the website.. A bunch of people are with them at the moment.. One good deed for me tonight ^^
Hmm.. I should go to sleep now.. just trying to recover some photo.. I've lost my USB drive.. I hope it's in my room *frown* anyway.. I don't feel like ranting anymore and I've already forgotten all the rants I had this evening.. hmm.. g'night and sweet dreams people!
