The happiest time of the year, except....
For the fact that I live in Australia.
As much as I love Christmas and the festive season, and I REALLY love Christmas and the festive season, it is never as I dream it will be through out the year because there is nothing I can do that will make it snow in Oz. I can dance around dressed as an elf doing a snow dance around the tree while singing 'I'm dreaming of a white Christmas' but all it will get me is my 3 and 1 year old laughing at mummy - possibly with mummy - it will not bring snow.
Instead of digging out the winter woollies and snow shovels we are shopping for swim suits, hats and stocking up on sun screen. Technically not yet Summer and we have already seen temps in the high 30's and its only going to get worse. The most depressing part, besides not having snow on Christmas day, is that here in Perth this weather hangs around till March, that's 5 months of hot as hell days.
In order to lift my spirits or perhaps send me plummeting even further in to my Christmas depression I've been spending a lot of my free time, and some not so free time, on the wonder that is Pinterest. See below for snowy inspiration and check me out on Pinterest for even more beautiful images
