So...Twilight! Saw it, want to gush. But I'll be good and just put a few observations under the cut.

1. ZOMG! Charlie! I loved Charlie! Seriously, he cracked me up. Loved him, and totally didn't expect that.
2. The...um, the sparkles? Not so much. I sort of had the natural impulse to want to brush whatever was on Edward/Pattinson off of his face. Not good. Of course, from the moment I found out that he would sparkle, I had wondered how they would pull it off. I think that since his skin is described as being as smooth as marble, I would have focused less on making him sparkle and more on have rainbows on the things around him to make it look like he was refracting light or something.
3. Kristen Stewart: Much better than I expected. I liked her Bella.
4. Pattinson: I adore him. Always have, always will. Can I just repeat for the record how annoyed I am that How to Be is not getting a screening anywhere near me? However, I swear, for one second, on one word (and of course I can't remember where), his accent faltered and you could definitely hear a British pronunciation.
5. Rosalie...I came away from the book with little opinion on her. As the series progressed, she grew into the one I loved to loath, but at first, I was just neutral. Nikki Reed did a great job with her though. She really made Rosalie's presence and personality felt.
6. The baseball scene was made of awesome. That is all.
7. I really didn't like the additional scenes for the Nomads. If they had the space to make up new scenes, they shouldn't have had to cut from the book.
8. I really missed the scene where Edward shows Bella the paintings in Carlisle's office. I thought that one was quite important. Too important to be cut.
9. The ending was awesome, but even if you assume that Alice, Jaspar, Emmett, and Rosalie all stayed home, shouldn't Edward have known the moment he walked in that Victoria was there?
10. The one casting choice I didn't like was Angela. I thought she came across as way too shallow. Just another Jessica.
11. While I liked it, at times I felt the whole movie was just a bit too montage-y for me.

Right, so anyone else's thoughts?

movie, twilight
