(no subject)
I'm sick. I think. I've been having the worst allergies in the history of evah this year, so it's entirely possible that they just got OMG!worse. Or I'm sick. Actually, I already had (and am just getting over) stomach flu, but this is more regular flu/cold. And on one hand, I have this huge advisory group thingy today, where basically the community leaders and influential people in the area are coming to the museum to review the past year as far as the education department (mine) goes, and based on that, they will determine what level of financial and...uh, volunteer (I really am bad off, my vocablary's shrinking, I can feel it!) support to offer us for the coming year. So it's pretty important. And I'm supposed to be there representing the study center and the volunteers. On the other hand, my boss doesn't want me getting any one else sick, and has given me permission to go home. So I think I might take her up on that once my first volunteer gets here at noon. Gah. I feel like hell. I just want to curl up and sleep until I'm better.
My throat's scratchy and feels coated, I'm cold, and clammy, and sweaty (TMI, sorry), my nose is stuffy, my sinuses are sore, I'm achy, I'm drowsy, I'm hungry...And I'm being a sissy and just want to have a good cry, damn it! Oh, and according to the reasonably attractive male currator who seems sort of interested, I'm flushed. And don't look too hot. Made my flippin' morning, that did. Yeah, well his stupid sunburn didn't look so hot either. Git.
