First of all, congratulations to all the IYFG winners! You guys rock! *tosses confetti* And good luck to everyone who's up for year end awards.
Moving on...
Got my bangs cut today. Actually, went ahead and got an overall hair cut. Nothing dramatic, only lost about a centimeter of length, but I got some more layers and got a good deal of weight taken off. And of course, the bangs. They're side-swept and fairly long; just how I like them.
After hours of browsing, I finally managed to find one button down shirt that actually looks good and fits like it should for a work-related appointment. I swear, I hate shopping for button-downs and pants. Oh, and shorts (not counting soffe shorts). It's impossible to find stuff that fits properly. As is, the shirt I ended up buying is slightly too loose on my waist, but hey, at least I can button the stupid thing all the way (which'll be sooo fun, because I do so love close-fitting things around my neck). Of course, this led to a debate (minor argument) with my mom (shopping buddy) about my slacks. She thinks I should just tuck the shirt in, but I can't, because it's too short. Because all of my slacks are cut to fit at my hips not my waist. Because I don't do the whole waist thing. Which, according to my mom, is where all my pants should be worn. *sigh* All I can say is "ain't happenin'."
Other than that, I'm about 1/2 through chapter 1 of Archangel, so I should be able to kick that back to the UC soon. I've still got to do chapter 9 though.
Oh, and you ever have it happen where you say something about one of your characters as a joke, only they take it and run with it and you can't get them back? Well, thanks to a comment I made to _midoriko_sama_, I've got Yasha the Yenta running rampant. Which in a way is good, because Rondo is apparently going to end up a lot more angsty than I anticipated, so a bit of levity can't hurt.
And finally, Publix fat-free chocolate pudding is god's gift to women. 'Nuff said.
