Hmm. It seems the only thing valuable I've gotten out of an iPod commercial was the incentive to get the song, 1234 by Feist.
Steps of 1234 Song Acquisition:
1. Watch Fatty Mc Fat Nano Commercial on TV.
2. Look up Artist on Wikipedia. Check the Album, whatnot in iTMS.
3. Go to Amazon's DRM Free Download Service.
http://www.amazon.com/b?ie=UTF8&node=1638560114. Download 1234. .89c 256kbs.
5. Add to iTunes.
6. Sync iPod.
I'll be honest: I only use iTunes for the podcasts, other than that its one piece of crummy software just like Safari and QuickTime for Windows. Apple apparently can't write programs correctly for this platform.
iTMS has never captured any of my interest, mostly because its fairplay copy protection scheme. No Apple, no DRM EMI is not enough... fuck you... especially not at an elevated price. I'm more likely to exploit holes in Ruckus DRM to get my music than use the iTMS. I don't want any restrictions on my music. I think Amazon is poised to take their position as a music distributor back from iTMS. All they have left to do is increase their selection of songs (currently two million.)

I've been feeling emotionally drained so far this week, heh. I hope I can regain my usual enthusiastic mood ASAP.
