A) 1. the life of david gale 2. 'Is Our Children Learning?', by paul begala 3. jimmy smith :: root down live!

A) 1. Um, you've already seen Gigantic, right? I can't really think of anything else offhand. 2. Hmm...have you read anything by Terry Pratchett? 3. Young Fresh Fellows: The Men Who Loved Music. (I was just listening to that one. {g})
B) 1. What have you been up to recently? I haven't heard much from you as of late. 2. How and how do you think Bush won re-election? 3. What's your opinion on the file-sharing issue?
C) Yeah, I might as well. I did this before, but more people read my journal now, so hopefully I'll get more replies.
A1. Yep! A2. Nope! A3. Good. I don't have to have that tape back now.*
B1. Working a lot, and not a whole lot else. I've been pretty boring lately. B2. Stealing, theft, larceny, illegal disenfranchisement, race-baiting, gay-baiting, infectious paranoia, fraud, lies, complicity on the part of a passive, corpulent press, and lots and lots and lots of money. Also, a steady erosion in the ability of Americans for critical thinking and analysis. B3. There must be a way to make this work for the musicians. I have neither love nor pity for the RIAA, though.
a) all three duly noted. also, jimmy smith is the shit.
b) 1. Totally and completely bogus. Stolen. 2. We've played a few gigs, and i have now added a bassist but haven't had the time to get them all together. But we cook. We really cook. 3. I love hip-hop. If I were to list everyone I like, I wouldn't have room, so I'll just give you a sampling. Most of my taste tends toward conscious underground stuff: De La Soul, Aesop Rock, Saul Williams, J-Live, Lootpack, Mr. Lif, El-P, The Roots, KRS-ONE, Public Enemy, Prince Paul, The Beastie Boys, Peanut Butter Wolf, Rob Swift, DJ Shortee, etc, etc.... If you can recommend me some new heads to check out, it would be appreciated.
as for hip hopping, MF DOOM. he's my favorite hip hopster lately. he also goes by VIKTOR VAUGHN or KING GEEDORAH. based on what you named you'd probably dig him.
