Haley-tastic!

Any thoughts on tonight's American Idol? The theme was "Songs From the Year They Were Born". As always, my friend darlingdivine has posted her in-depth review of each performer, which you are free to check out :)
If you buy the Top 12's studio recordings on iTunes, you'll be making direct donations for Japan, so go ahead and download your favorite Idols' songs now.

on_the_ground , you may have enjoyed Stefano tonight :) It's true, he may very well be the dark horse in this competition. Thia deserved more credits for her performance, though I agree it's about time she take some risks and pick edgier tunes. Pia was perfection. Lauren rocked that song, which happened to be my favorite. The fact that she was sick gave her this raspy tone to her voice, one that was a pleasure to listen to.

I LOLed during Haley's red lipstick massacre moment, but she handled it really well, so I gave her props for that. Gosh, after tonight, my addiction to Haley's quirky, unique voice remains on a high. To be honest, I was super-shocked when I found out she was going to do Whitney, but she did infuse her own flavor to it, which makes it a sexy cool tune. I'm so glad Steven Tyler brought up her bluesy tone, as all her performances that dated back to her auditions have been nothing short of bluesy. She should continue going down the blues route - that's when she's on fire. This is a singer whose CD I can't wait to buy when it's released!
Oh my, I just downloaded her studio version of "I'm Your Baby Tonight" and I've been continuously abusing the Play button on my iTouch. Simply "Haley-tastic"!

At last, the new issue of Teen Vogue is out, and I've added it to my collection. Look who's on the cover... It's our favorite girl from The Vampire Diaries, the ever-so-lovely Nina Dobrev! Xo
