before it slips away,
happy St. Patrick's day
& a belated Brigid of Kildare day . . . (feb 1, traditional first day of spring in ireland)
the intention earlier was to post a nice pic from one of my trips to Ireland,
but as usual was sidetracked looking through a couple of the books of
chromes . . . entropy happens - especially as it occurred to me that the slides
are stored in carousel trays buried in the nether reaches of a closet . . .
and would require scanning . . . and the scanner has never been
calibrated for chromes, some of which may be kodachrome,
not nearly as easy to scan as the e6 films. then it was time to put on the
spuds for dinner.
& so a pint of red ale later . . .
this pic will do nicely.
except the local bars were plastered with these shamrocks imprinted with the word "budwiser",
that just seems so wrong.
