when i first noticed these high-end scooters i thought they were conventionally
fueled, a few were, but many were electric (cruising at 50 km/hr and often with a range of
120+ km). the affordable norm was the electric bicycle with pedal assist (cruising speed
of 25 km/hr with a 35 km range - 55 km if you pedal a bit).
and then there is the ever popular manual model (very limited speed and cruising range
for some of us - fortunately there is always walking and mass-transit.).
