Cookie Jar Regrets

Oct 28, 2005 22:33

I am never going to be practical again, I promised myself. We'd gone to this museum exhibit place that had a retro diner cookie jar in the gift shop that was just like part of the exhibit. When I saw it I knew I wanted it because it looked just like the opening scene in my jazz story. But I didn't get it because there were plenty of other things I needed to find and now I regret it! Somehow, and it may be just a trick I'm playing on myself, I feel that if I could find that cookie jar I just might get ideas on how to finish my story. I used to see the scenes so vividly but now they're faded memories of ideas that once blossomed. I know it's silly but the next time I see something like that I'm going to get it right away. You never know when you'll be back somewhere, maybe not for a long time and it might be too late.
