Super Ranger!

Because Japan in general has more interesting disastrous situations, Rescue is ridiculously better than Lifeline. (If you don't know what Lifeline is, this is the exact case where I would say ignorance really is bliss.) I would be lying to say the acting is good, and quite frankly I hated that Maru was crying in almost every episode and that Masu was such a passive and sad kid in some. But the plot does make for exciting watch. It explains the elite rescue unit of the Yokohama Fire Department called Super Rangers. The show allows glimpses into their trainings and some of the accident scenes that they operate in. But I think the ultimate lingering thought was: whose life is more important? The rescuer or the one being rescued? Expect idealistic talks on how lives are important and big explosive scenes (Either their budget is huge, or explosives are just cheap in the land of the rising sun.), but not fabulous acting from Maru and Masu. That said, it's only 9 episodes, so I thought the pacing and plot was good enough for me to overlook the other cons.
