CHAPTER 9
Youngsaeng?! What?! Why did he call? It's already 3:30am why is he still awake?
"Oppa?" Making sure I heard him right.
"Yes, did I disturb you?" He asked, duh obviously!
"Obviously, yah. But it's okay, I'm already awake. Why did you call?"
"Nothing, I just can't sleep." What the?! He just called because he can't sleep? Great, just great!
"Seriously? You just called because you can't sleep, Wooowwww!!!!" aish! Is he trying to annoy me?
"I'm just kidding, you short-tempered. I called because I want to say sorry for what happened, I'm just tired. I'm really sorry." He said, so he called me in the middle of the night just to say sorry? How sweet.
"It's okay oppa, I'm sorry too if I said that you have a period today hehe! Let’s not just talk about it." Then I heard him chuckled. "Anyways let's change the subject. Oppa, can I ask you something? I'm really curious about this." I ask, I really want to know this and I don't know when will Kyu oppa and I will talked again, so I'll ask him instead.
"What is it?"
"I was just wondering, 'cause I noticed that you guys are always busy and sometimes go home late, I know It's not my business or anything, I'm just curious what's you're jobs?" I said. There's a long silence on the other line, I checked my phone, it's still full battery and he didn't hung up yet. " Hello? oppa? Are you still there?"
"Kyu is right, you really don't watch TV." Then he laughs.
"Why do I have to watch TV to know what you guys are doing? Don’t tell me you're an idol or celebrities in here?" I said. Is it possible? I ask myself.
"You got that right." He got to be kidding me!
"Stop it oppa, don't kid with me."
"I'm serious, I'm not kidding,” he said, I know that he's not kidding but I still can't believe it. Is it true? My goodness! "If you’re still hesitating to believe in me, search it on the internet." I do as he says; I turn my laptop on and then open a browser.
"Are the five of you together in a group?" I ask am I dreaming? Is this real?
"Yes, we're in a group called DOUBLE S FIVE OH ONE"
Then I stop for a while and think, that name is familiar to me, I think I heard it somewhere but I can't remember where I heard it. I type "SS501" and click search, when I saw the result, my eyes almost come out on its socket, it's them, and he’s not lying. I'm silent for a several minute trying to absorb it.
"Hey are you okay?" Saengie asked me with a worried voice.
"Ye..yea I'm okay, don't worry I'm just surprise, I don't know what to say." I said.
"Are you sure?" He asks again.
"Yep, I'm okay. I just need sometime to absorb the fact that my friends are idols." I said, should I say to myself that I'm lucky? Or should be pissed to myself for being ignorant? waaa I don't know, I think.
"So... do you still want to be our.... friend?" he said hesitantly.
"What a silly question to ask, of course I do. You guys are the only friend I have here and the fact that you're an Idol didn't change anything." I said. "But the question is, is my closeness with all of you, will not affect your career or misjudgment with anyone will see it?" After almost a month of being here and the fact that I have a cousin that's been a fan girl since birth and telling me stories that Idols is not the same as the Idols in America. It's scary even the thought of it that I will get attacked by their fans.
"It's okay I guess, as long as we keep it a secret, I think it's okay." he seems so unsure of what he's saying.
"You guess and you think? You’re not sure? Okay so here's the deal, as long as it's okay for me to be around with you guys, I will be around and be your friend, but if I see that my closeness with you guys are affecting your group then. I will leave." The last thing that I said makes me sad. Even though I known them for about a month but I'm already close to them like I known them for years.
"But I.... We don't want you to leave." He said.
"I'm not." I said. "But time will come that I have to leave, remember? I'm not staying here for good, I'm just on vacation." I went on.
"Oh right." He said and by the tone of his voice, he's kind of sad.
"Let's not talk about leaving and stuff okay? Let’s change subject."
"Thanks Janey." He said. Eh? Why is he saying thank you?
"Thanks for what?"
"For being our.... friend."
"It's okay oppa, it's a pleasure to have friends like you guys. Anyways, do you have work tomorrow?"
"Yes we have." Aigoo!!! It’s really late now and he's still awake.
"Bad oppa! You should not stay up late it's bad! Go to bed now." I said, I sounded like a mother, dang! What the heck haha!
"Okay, okay, Good.... morning then." He said and then chuckled, his laugh is like music in my ears it's beautiful, I wish to hear him laugh more or see him smile. Omg! What’s happening to me?!
"Okay, I'll hang up now. Bye!" We exchanged goodbyes and then we hung up.
After that conversation, I can't sleep now; it made me stay up all midnight. I can't stop thinking about it, the sun is already rising and lighting up the city and I'm still lying in my bed eyes wide open. When I know that there's no way I can get to sleep again, I decided to go outside to have walk and to buy some breakfast outside, I'm lazy right now to cook and It's been a while when I went out to have some walk. I change my pajamas to jogging pants and because it's kind of cold outside, I grabbed my favorite blue Abercrombie sweatshirt and wore a cap.
Me along with Destiny went to the nearest store, which is 7/11 to buy some bread and cup noodles, and also three king size of Hershey’s chocolate bar to feed my addiction to chocolates. It's been a while since I ate chocolate and I think it's a month ago, so when I saw it, I put it in my basket immediately without thinking twice. I went to the cashier and pay the things that I bought, luckily I don't have to say anything to the cashier or else I'm doomed, as soon as I got my change, I went straight to my place.
The Condo and the store is not that far, so it only took us ten to fifteen minutes walk. I feel like a walking zombie because I didn't get enough of sleep, while walking in the hall I'm not aware of my surroundings and didn't even notice the people around me, until I felt that Destiny stopped walking and when I looked at her, she's wiggling her furry tail again and sticking out her tongue. When I look at the direction she was looking, I saw Hyunjoong oppa is bribing my dog with a food to go to him.
"You don't have to do that oppa, just call her name and she will come to you." I let go of her chain and she went to Hyunjoong oppa immediately and eats the food in his hand. "Anyways, good morning superstars." I greeted them and they looked puzzled except for the one person who's holding his laughter after I greeted.
"What the?! What happened to your eyed Janey? Look at those dark circles!" Hyungjoon oppa exclaimed.
"Yea oppa, shout to the world about my dark circles. It's not my fault though, blame the person who called me in the middle of the night and told me a big news and also, thanks to him I have dark circles now." Then I glared at Youngsaeng that is laughing now and I smack his arm lightly.
"Oh anyways, speaking of "big secret" we already know yours except for Youngsaeng hyung." Jungmin said with a smirk on his face, then I see Kyujong oppa hiding between him and Joon oppa.
"You're kidding right? Tell me your kidding." I said to Kyu oppa, hoping that this is just a joke.
"I'm sorry, they made me say it, and I’m really sorry neyney."
"Aish! Even when I get mad at you, you already told them, so there's no use of being mad." I said feeling defeated, now I know that if these guys wants something they will get it.
"So anyways, we are all good, let's change the subject into an important matter, so who called you last night? I thought you sleep early." Kyu oppa asked sounded like a big brother.
Then I looked at Youngsaeng oppa who's been watching us and didn't have any idea what we are talking about earlier. "Oppa, who called me last night?" I asked him.
"Huh? Last night? hmm.. me."
"There you go." The four of them smiled at us wickedly which I find creepy even though they look gorgeous. Even Hyunjoong oppa who's been so quiet and just playing with my dog is listening to our conversation.
"Hmmm, I see. No wonder why someone is happy when he woke up earlier." Hyunjoong oppa said.
"Well, I'm just happy because she's not mad at me anymore." Saeng oppa said and I know that my cheeks are starting to blush.
"Oh guys look at them, they're blushing." They tease us and that made me blush more. Ahhh this guys are making me crazy!!!
"Yah! Stop teasing us." We said together, which made the four guys in front of us to tease us more.
"Awww, they said it together, how cute." Hyunjoong oppa said then they laughed. I need to change the subject quickly since I'm good at it.
"Are you guys are going to work?" I asked starting to change the subject.
"Uhh yes we are going to work today." Kyu oppa said.
"Oh! Go now then and make your fans crazy. See you guys later!" I said. "Now, now Hyunjoong oppa, bring me back my dog." trying to have my dog back.
"Can I have her?" He suddenly asks.
"What?"
"I'll give you all of my manga in exchage"
"Sorry oppa, I love animes but I'm lazy when it comes to reading it"
"I'll give you my DVD's then." he insisted.
"Oppa, I can't give her to you, she's my princess. Go to the pet shop and buy your dog."
"Please?" he begged, trying to convince me with those puppy eyes of his.
"Like I said, I can't, but you can borrow her."
"Really?"
"Yes."
"Thank you!" Then he walks off, along with the guys. I thought they all left already but when I turned Youngsaeng is still here.
"Jane?" He called me.
"Oppa?"
"Are you busy tonight?" I stared at him blankly, is he asking me out?
"Hmmm.. I'm going to my uncle's house today, but I won't stay there for a long time, so yeah I'm not busy. Why?"
"Ahm. Is it okay with you to come with me? I just want to take you somewhere."
"Hmmm.. Sure oppa no problem."
"Great! I'll text or call you later if what time are we leaving." He said and flashed his killer dimple smile at me. I almost died when he did that.
"Okay, I'll wait. You go now oppa, they are waiting."
"Bye!" he said
"Bye take care." I waved.
I wonder what will happen later.
