The ending is hopeful, but the rest of the story is heartbreaking. Eve feels so strongly for Much, but she always stops herself from asking about him or sharing her feelings about him with anyone (even him, to an extent) because it wouldn't really be proper. It reminds me a little of Jane Austen, only more depressing. I felt really sorry for Eve, and for Much and Eve as a couple. Great story!

Yes, it turned out sadder than I really intended, but that's kind of how I see them. Thank you for reading!

We all thought Robin will be the one with the happy end, and the title wna dthe wife. But he won't... as Marian is dead.
Much will get the happy ending, with Bonchurch and Eve. And he has quite deserved it, don't you think?

Oh, he absolutely does, and it's probably highest on my wishes for Robin Hood *looks pointedly at show's writers*

First off... yay! Thank you for entering ^-^

Secondly, that was absolutely brilliant! I loved Eve's insight on Much, and it was a very good insight. You characterised him brilliantly. It was so sad and happy at the same time.

*lesigh* Twas wonderful. :)

No worries, I always like a good prompt, and it got me pegging away at the keyboard in a more of less productive way...which is always good :)

Many thanks for the kind feedback, though. I'm really glad that you liked it.
