They liked him! They really liked him!
Today, Jeff was offered a job! (You may recall that he became unemployed at the end of May when Sallie Mae closed their Arizona office.) He will start at Wells Fargo on Monday, August 25. He’ll be training customer service reps in their credit card fraud department. This is exactly what he wants to do, and with his experience in training, banking, and call centers, he is very well qualified. Between that and his irresistable charm, they didn’t even do the last round of the selection process, which would have been to have all the finalists come in and give a sample presentation. They already knew they wanted him at that point.
The job is just three miles from our home, at Wells Fargo’s new corporate center on Price Road. And as icing on the cake, Wells Fargo is a leader in workplace diversity and is a great place to work for GLBTs. And the offer was higher than he was expecting. So it’s goodness all around.
Obviously, we are delighted! And I am very happy for and proud of my husband.
