ok, so I bought the machine. I'm very happy and excited about it. Being broke is worth it.
that said, I haven't even plugged the machine in. I read the users manual twice now, and researched all the options on it and everything. I even went out and bought a nice new surge protector thingy that came with it's own warranty up to $10,000 covering anything that's plugged into it should it fail. I'm very nervous about the electronics in this machine. I've never owned a machine with it's own computer in it. I'm rather intimidated by this machine. Today's goal is to plug it in and try a few test stiches and see how easy it really is to use. One of the neato things about it is that the power cord and the foot petal cord are two seperate items, unlike the usual where the foot pedal and power cords are usually connected to eachother where they connect to the machine. It's neat 'cause you don't always need to use the foot pedal since it's got a start and stop button, as well as speed control.
Oh, and in other good news... Terry and his two teen-aged boys have moved into their own apartment! We now have the storage room back! I hope that will help Kelly and I get some of the extraneous crap out of our room too. This is a good thing. :) The kittens are all VERY happy to re-claim thier room. Terry never let the cats in the room, and that room was their first home when we removed them from the garrage. So they're up here all the time now, and thier all a little bit more chill too, so it's nice.
