That
BodyCombat class apparently whooped me. Or it could've been the suit jacket that I wore yesterday. All I know is that by the time I came home yesterday, my upper back and shoulders hurt. I took off the offending jacket and bra and proceeded to veg for the night. The original plan was to do some ab work then go to another kickboxing class this morning, but instead I fell asleep on the couch for a couple hours, and then slept until 1100 today. Meh. My back and shoulders finally started feeling better by the time we did some errands, so that's good.
We walked down to the post office, a welcome change from the ridiculously freezing temperature. We dropped off things at the post office, then got ourselves some food. We'll be eating shortly, but I wanted to check in here. We walked a total of 1.8 miles, so at least some exercise.
I plan on going to that kickboxing class next weekend. It's ran by a former doctor at my practice, which is why I was interested. She mentioned actually using gloves, so I'm somewhat terrified. Another reason I knew I couldn't go this morning; if I was using weighted gloves, my arms would've fallen off.
We're heading to the library tomorrow for studying and assessments, and then my partner and I are going to my spin class. I typically do spin Sunday evenings after studying in the library, and I wanted to see what my man, with his massive man thighs, would be able to pull off. I've already told him that his butt will probably hurt. It's like you need to build up butt muscles or something. But I'm excited that we can do these things together, and that he's open to the spinning experience. From using my pass, we only have to pay $5 for him to go, so it's a steal for occasional classes.
I'm glad to be back to working out. That 200-pound goal seems more feasible. I weighed myself this morning and I'm sitting around 216, which is comforting...
... now just 16 more pounds to go!
