Halloween

FINALLY! THE DREADED OCTOBER HAS COME TO AN END!

thank goodness, that was possible the longest and most stressful month of my life. So many midterms, so much reading, so many papers... all done, behind me now, thank goodness. I finished my last midterm 2 hours ago, and I feel fantastic, and full of knowledge.

Seriously, ask me anything about Diabetes, ANYTHING, they have been jamming all the information about diabetes down our throats since first year, the pharmacology, the microbiology, the anatomy, the physiology, the pathophysiology, ALL OF IT!

Happy Halloween, I wish I could go out trick-or-treating like good old times, or even watch my mom dressed up as a witch and my dad as Frankenstein giving out candy to cute little kids. I will be sitting at home preparing for my clinical giving out granola bars, hahaha, it's all I have, the kids will love me. Maybe I will dress up....

I can't believe in one month my first semester will be over. I only have 2 exams in December, fairly well spread apart, and I am finished on the 15th, so I am extremely happy with that. I have 2 group projects (how I hate group projects...) in November but that's about it, and one test, on top of my normal course load and clinical of course. It will be amazing compared to my extreme September and October business.

Along with the stress came great experiences though. I have my first subcutaneous needles, got to watch someone's brain get cut into and watched a tumor being removed, got to do tracheostomy and PEG tube care among many other things. My neurosurgical placement has definitely helped me learn a lot, I am glad I chose a placement that would challenge me.

I miss my mommy and daddy, and my sisters, I can't wait to come visit sometime in November... and just spend the weekend relaxing and watching movies and catching up.

And thanks to Julia I finally have the new Radiohead music :).

On the Christmas list (yes, already): The new Alice Sebold book- The Almost Moon.
