I sit here on May 1st, 20 days until I graduate college and think about the rest of my life. I'm thinking about the awesome day I had today, even if it only consisted of going to school, taking an exam, hanging out in the library waiting to go to class, and going to the movies with Olivia. I'm thinking about the converstaion I had with Olivia where I started crying (I hope she didn't realize it...) and told her to go out and have fun because her next two years will fly and before she knows it she'll be done too. I told her to get drunk because that's what I wish I had done. I'm thinking that tomorrow when I go to school tomorrow for a review session and class I'll be walking into a classroom for the last time as a college student. I'm thinking about walking back into my apartment today and seeing it a little different than when I left this morning. I'm thinking about the fact my roommates were sitting down and talking about what we are going to do for senior week the week after next. I'm thinking about the fact that I have no problem with the tears running down my cheeks right now. I'm thinking about walking into St. Mary's in a month and a half-walking into the first day of the rest of my life. I'm thinking about all the hugs and the tears in the next few weeks and how I will not see some of these people ever again. And some of those people I'm okay with but others I am not. I'm looking back at the last four years and how fast they went, how many friends I made and how some of the memories I will never forget. I also am looking at the times where I said how I couldn't WAIT to be done and get out of here. Those moments were tough and I truely couldn't wait until I was done. Now that I am done, I don't take it back but I see things in a different light. I don't regret the past 4 years, but rather wish I had done more.
