(no subject)
Okay, so it's been forever since I've updated in here, and it is mainly for this reason that I am updating, since I've been sitting here since I'm not sure when catching up on everybody else's past LJ's. Since my last entry was on the 4th, we'll just pick up from there and catch some of the highlights.
Birthday stuff:
For my birthday Micah took me out to dinner at Tribute, a very classy restaurant and quite the treat. He also gave me a beautiful crystal heart necklace in this little white jewelry box (which made my heart stop for a moment as I told myself that it wouldn't be ring this soon). For my actual birthday, Micah and I spent the day walking the trails at Kensington and then coming back home to celebrate with my family.
Thesis stuff:
June 10th I went up to Sagy for about half the day, because I had to meet my thesis committee about my thesis (which I really need to work on). Met Carrie, Sarah and Brent for a little beforehand and then had to take off. I ended up going rather out of my way trying to find my professor's house, but on the upside, I broke out the GPS that my parents got me for Christmas and managed to figure out how it works and it helped get me back. The meeting went really well. Tom made us all dinner and it was nice being able to meet with everybody for a brain-storming session.
Work:
I started work on the 17th and it's going good. Kinda funny - until Friday I was sitting just on the other side of the cubicle from Micah. That was a nice little treat and we definitely showed them that we could sit by each other and still be productive. The only reason I had to move is because they just hired a new senior graphics person, and it made more sense to put them there. Greg's trying to think of a way to move me closer to the rest of the graphics people though.
In other notes:
I've never been so much in love and it's been so nice being able to see Micah every day. I'm not really looking forward to not seeing him for a couple weeks, but I'm glad that he's able to take a trip to the Phillippines since I know that it is important to him. We've gone a couple weeks without seeing each other before, but ever since we've started dating we've talked on the phone every night, and that could be difficult to do with him halfway around the world. Okay, I'm gonna be late to the Youth Anniversary at his church if I don't leave soon, so one more note then I have to go. Julie is getting married on Friday! This will be my second roomate to get married - think you'll probably be next Leah. It was fun going to the bridal shower/bachelorette party. I enjoyed being able to run around with everybody and have a girl's night. Well that's it for now folks, I'll update later, but there's a lot coming up in the next couple of weeks. Adios.
