First impressions:
Chemistry 83: Dr. Bonk is one of those adorable old guys you just want to pat on the head. He's been teaching here for 47 years and he's just silly. Hopefully the class will be as interesting as he is.
Compsci 100: More of the same, taught by more of the same, but the students talk to each other more than we did last semester in 6.
Linguistics 187 (Variety in Language): The teacher is a swim coach in the league my brother swims in, and was a collaborator in several studies with a grad student who taught me twice and is writing me a recommendation letter for study abroad in Germany this summer. The stuff that we'll cover seems pretty familiar, so I'll have a head start, but I'm interested in the new approach.
German 118s: Oh man. Mein Deutsch ist total verloren gegangen. Kann mich an sogar die einfachsten Wörter nicht erinnern. Hoffentlich wird meine Sprachkenntnisse schnell zurückkommen... andernfalls sitze ich tief in der Scheiße.
I'm happy to be back and singing again, too.
Youngjoo made a New Year's resolution to not drink until she turns 21 in August. I give her until next weekend.
[EDIT, 1:38 AM, 13 JAN] I spotted her a week too long. She's out imbibing herself for the thorough entertainment of others as I type.
