I ike this ship! It's exciting!
So Star Trek is going to be one of those fandoms in which the full extent of my multishipping tendencies really gets to shine, methinks. In less then 24 hours I have read so many fic, with several different pairings. Star Trek fanfiction now has it's own subfolder in my fanfiction folder in my bookmarks.
I digress, this post has a point sort of.
I have read a couple of delightful Kirk/McCoy fic, including two genderswap fic. Before I had started to read any fic, I was set on finding some Kirk/McCoy and was even hoping for genderswap. Genderswap is, imo, kind of tricky to pull off. I find it a bit hit or miss. Anyways the two genderswap Kirk/McCoy fic were well-written and the authors pulled it off.
Both fic have girl!Kirk/McCoy.

...The problem, and it's not really a problem, is that they are both girl!Kirk. And while the authors write it wonderfully, well, I AM KIND OF DYING FOR KIRK/GIRL!MCCOY. And instead of having Kirk immediately be in flirt mode at their first meeting and during the Academy days, I would like to see Kirk and girl!McCoy to platonic BFF (would show that girl!McCoy has a special place in Kirk's heart/mind and so on) for awhile until maybe during or post movie and then they hook up.
Or something. Anything.
SOMEONE WRITE IT FOR ME. PLEASE. WITH A CHERRY ON TOP.
Also, not enough fic with either badass Sulu or cutie Chekov (cute gen fic for him in which he is cute and I want to pinch his cheeks even more).
*ETA*: The lesson here is 'Never Be Afraid To Ask!' *bounces in anticipation*
