Big Brother is Watching You

LJ has a new tracking thingy... here are details. You can opt out if you so wish.

I so wish. Oh, eljay. *le sigh*

I can't help but think of George Orwell's awesome novel, 1984. We had to read it in 10th grade/. It was really intriguing and I enjoyed it. First (first being in HS, second being in Uni) sophomore year was a good year for academic novel reading.

On the book front, I need a rec. A book in English or in Spanish (that has an English translation) about Spanish/Latin American culture/politics/religion/entertainment, you get the idea. Or a Spanish or Latin American novel (again, I'll need to be able to get an English version).

I was thinking maybe Captain Alatriste by Arturo Perez-Reverte. Has anyone read it?

If you have a suggestion, I'd be grateful to hear it.

Oh, by the way, this is for Spanish II. But since we are only II, we are reading/writing in English.

course: espanol dos, books
