sometimes my family can be really cool.

my grandmother, grandfather, aunt, mom, and i drove out to my uncle's big mansion of a house sunday. he was not at home, but instead working. we all knew he wouldn't be back until around midnight.

which is why it's always good to have a spare key.

we went inside at about six. we had boxes and boxes of christmas decorations. since he just moved in, there's hardly any furniture even yet. i put on christmas music and baked cookies. everyone else set up lights, tinsel, and holly. at first, everything looked small and insignificant because the house is just so big. whenever anyone talked, it echoed because there was nothing to soak up the sound. i'd definately sing a lot in that house.

i put up a little tree, and adorned it with lights and such. i helped my aunt wrap red tinsel around his staircase. she hung a wreath on the topmost rail. my mom made a chips and dip combo and everyone loved it. i made a sign that said, "surprise and merry christmas!" and everyone signed it. then stuck it on the fridge.

my mom brought over the stocking he's been using at our house for when he stayed with us and filled it with little things. when we left and turned all the lights off, it looked so beautiful. we had stayed for about two or three hours.

:] i'm lucky to have a family such as mine.

tomorrow mike (who i haven't seen in about two weeks! arr) is coming over. we'll probably record music, take pictures, and watch nosferatu or something. first i have a singing lesson at about nine, and then mum and i are supposed to go to this old victorian place and get coffee. oh god, coffee. then, as you (may not) know, singing recital is sunday.

so..pretty much my weekend will be perfect. i'm also lucky to have such great friends and an amazing boyfriend.

j'aime mon vie, de temps en temps. christmas eve, 2003, has no chance whatsoever of entering my mind.
