When it snows you still go to work

Of course, like I said, Eddie didn't get dog food after work. Thankfully PT was canceled yesterday so I just ran to Walmart really quick and got some before work.

Oh I love this place, when it snows nothing's ever closed. Actually, there's a bunch of schools closed. Base, on the other hand, isn't. They do statuses on the roads (green, amber, red, black). Recently, this year, they changed it that if roads are red only essential personnel comes in, and black is the same, only emergency personnel for black roads. This way they don't have to post delays anymore. Well, no one follows it, so of course there's a bunch of people driving on dangerous road conditions. Like today, this morning it was only amber, but I called into PT and said my husband was stuck behind me so I wouldn't have to drive in it. Then less then an hour later roads were considered red. Of course, Eddie and I still have to go to work.

It's just really stressful to drive in because people drive like idiots even when it's snowing. And it's dropping fast right now so I'm going to have fun driving to work today.

I'm making beef stew for dinner tonight in the crockpot. I love that I can throw the food in it now and it'll be done when we get home from work. I was going to get slow cooker liners, basically it's a bag you put in the pot and you put the food in it so when it's done cooking you just take the bag out and you don't have to wash the pot. Anyway, I got the beef stew by where you buy beef. It's already packaged up with the onions, carrots, potatoes, meat, and flavoring stuff. So that's nice, though I think next time I might just buy the stuff separately. The vegetables came in a package together that they put a little water in so a couple of the potatoes were water logged, I still cut them up and put them in. We'll see how they come out. lol. Hopefully it doesn't make me sick, that wouldn't be good.

YAY Eddie just called and told me that the roads are terrible on base. Wonderful. I love driving on crap roads.

We need to cut Mac's nails, they're getting so long. I might have Eddie help me when he's home tonight, someone has to hold him down or he won't let you cut them. I know dogs don't like their nails getting cut, but his are getting bad again.

I cleaned the living room last night. It was trashed. All the Christmas stuff was still in here, plus a couple things from the back room, and the boxes from the baby furniture. Yea, I ended up bringing it all into the garage last night, then I organized the tons of papers on the coffee table, cleared off the recliner since it had a bunch of coats on it, and I vacuumed with the little vacuum. It doesn't do an amazing job with vacuuming, but it does it well enough so that you don't have to kill yourself with the big one. I wasn't into doing a big cleaning. I think the irobot roomba is supposed to do an adequate enough job just like the stick vacuum, which will work for me. Of course I think I'm going to be waiting 4-6 weeks before it's shipped since it's backordered.

Mac is so annoying this morning. I know he's basically getting cabin fever and wants to go outside and go for walks, but not in this weather. It's driving me nuts, but then I feel bad. But he keeps jumping around like you're going to play with him any time you move. It's annoying.

I keep hoping roads will go black, but I highly doubt it, so I need to go clean my car off and warm it up.
