Lying in a pool of blood
Rose but one where many stood
Swift yet soft, the Angels praised
Voices of the souls unraised
Brought upon itself, this war
Unlike all others fought before
The armies of our ancestry
Fought the raging anarchy
Mirrors broken, walls undone
And as the moon might hunt the sun
So did these two great lands collide
Alike in beauty, doomed in pride
As men of honor died that day
The times were lost, unto the fray
When the dust had cleared, just one man stood
Rising from a pool of blood.
