I really hate my computer right now.
So I turned on my computer this afternoon, and when I logged on to my user thingie, I discovered that ALL of my personal files/pictures/stuff had disappeared!! This includes EVERY bookmark and saved password I had on my computer, and possibly some saved game files, but I'm not sure about that as I haven't played anything but internet/facebook games in several months. I have NO idea how this happened, as everyone else's stuff seems to be intact, and it was fine yesterday. I ran my virus/spyware scanners and they didn't pick up anything.
I had a shitload of bookmarks and there is no way in hell I will be able to find them all again. I am SO PISSED.
I broke down and cried when I saw that all my stuff was gone. Maybe the pregnancy hormones had something to do with that, and maybe not.
I had a story I was writing on the harddrive that I do not have a hardcopy of. If there is not some sort of way to retrieve it, then it is gone forever. And I really liked it too. This will teach me to never do a story solely on the computer again.
