Yes, I am still Alive.
I keep meaning to post and then never get around to it.
The other day I finally saw this movie I've been wanting to see. It's outside my normal genres but I read the book and the book rocked my socks. I laughed, I cried, I laughed some more. The title is "Latter Days" and the movie was really good too. I *heart* Aaron Davis. He is absolutely my fave charecter from that movie. Great actor playing him too. I hope we get to see more from him in the future. This movie is not for everyone though, as it revoles around some boy love. I was very impressed with the camera work. Though there were several nude scenes (one at least five minutes long) there was never any full frontal nudity. And they managed it without it looking unnatural at all.
i am limiting myself severely from ebay. I have gotten 3 of the things I won so far. I got my BEGoth doll, Sinstress, from series one; the Celtic princess doll dress from Carpatina; and the 3 volumes of Magic Knight Rayearth 2. I am waiting on Begoth Storm series one, and a lot of 15 manga novels that i got for $15. Now I just have 2 volumes of MKR2 to find and I will have the whole set. I have it on VHS dubbed, which makes it extra difficult to find.
Duo has 16 dragons now. For his birthday he got 5 from his Daddy, one finger puppet one from Great Aunt Lygia also some clothes, a fisher price fire truck that makes noise from Tammy, an ark with animals (also fisher price) from Mommy, and some money from Mamaw Carlene. Which went to getting his pictures done, like the card said to. He got another outfit from Nana Sally (my mom) and a dragon costume from Lygia. Nothing from Papaw Dale (my dad) yet, though he says he sent a card. Might've gotten here today, I didn't check the mail.
today was Tammy's birthday, so we had a girl's day out. Tammy, Wendy, Carrie, and me all went to Syracuse this afternoon. Went to the Carosel mall, and met up with another of Tammy's friends which was a surprise for her. We cruised the mall and then went to eat at this really REALLY nice restaurant called Pascal's. It is hands down the nicest restaurant I have ever been to. Great food, and great service. And reasonably priced too. The entrees were mostly under 20 though not by much. Everyone but me had fillet minon and 3 of them added a lobster tail ($8). And Dessert was AMAZING There was a dessert cart with several different things. I had this chocolate torte cheesecake thing. Mmmmmm... It was SOO good.
At the mall I stopped by Hot Topic and got some fairy patches i didn't have, 2 stickers, and a book that was on sale for half off. I looked in Borders for the Anita Blake comic but I think I am just going to have to break down and get it online.
I got to talk to Jayson yesterday. He says he and his buddy have been watching that HBO show Rome. He likes it a lot and says he will probably get it.
today was the longest I have been away from Duo since we were in the hospital when he was born. I had fun but I don't think I will do it again until he's a fair bit older. Maybe when Jayson comes home for R&R. If we're in MS. Then I can get Mom or someone to watch him. Probably Mom.
I need to go get some sleep. I'm sure there was something else I was going to write, but i'm too tired to think what.
