Another political rant, there's plenty to rant about!

Did you know that corporations are considered legally people? (If not, you have not been reading my posts!) But here's something I DIDN'T know until today. Not only are corporations considered people, but they are "people" because they use the 14th Amendment to justify their existence! Yes, the 14th amendment saying that all people are who are born in the U.S. are citizens that deserve full protection under the constitution, has been used by corporations to argue that they too, should not be considered mere property, but are entitled to full personhood under the Constitution!

Thanks to a sidenote in a Supreme Court decision over 100 yrs ago, that was NOT even part of the decision Santa Clara County v. Southern Pacific Rail, which was about a railroad trying to avoid paying taxes. it argued that it should be exempt because it was a person, and people are protected from unfair taxation!

There needs to be an new Amendment drafted by Congress to set it right once and for all that corporations are NOT people.
