ROWLETT TX - A 60-year-old woman faces charges in the largest heroin bust in the city's history.
Barbara Simms of Rowlett is charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in a drug-free zone.
Her home, where police say she made "cheese" heroin, is across from a city park, the drug-free zone.
After serving a search warrant late Wednesday night, police collected more than $25,000 in black tar heroin, along with sleeping pills.
Combined, it could have made 3,343 doses of cheese heroin, which is mainly aimed at teenagers.
"Simms was a high-level drug dealer," Rowlett police Lt. David Nabors said.
Police also confiscated three loaded weapons, including an AK-47, and counterfeit cash.
Simms could face federal charges, Nabors said.
